Diving Through The Deep End
Figurative expression of being in a relationship
I always think of being in a relationship,
Like being a diver in the ocean,
You’ll always want to dive deeper,
Feeding off the curiousity,
Towards what lies at the deep end
Though as you do dive deeper,
You’re risking yourself more,
But you know truly,
That it’s the only way you feel like you’re truly living.
You can stay at the surface,
But it’ll get you nowhere
As you dive deeper, you wonder
When should I stop?
Or should I keep diving?
When should I go back to my own world where I belong?
Then, again
How does the ocean feel about me?
Is it pulling me down to go deeper?
Or pushing me back up to the surface?
You never know what to expect
Sometimes you meet the most beautiful whale
Sometimes you’re being thrown by waves and thunder
At the end of the day
You know deep in your heart
You just have to keep diving through
And try to survive it
